A whole lotta BOOM for your buck
Ive played guitar for almost 30 years but this is the first bass I've owned. I wanted a six string to record alongside my 8-string guitar. This bass was perfect. I made some minor modifications to the nut to accommodate thicker strings as I wanted a low G instead of a B,and it seems to have worked out well. The actions is great, it has a nice range of sounds and the neck, though quite wide is actually very comfortable to play. I now own 9 basses, this is my 1st 6-string. In looking over the possibilities, I canme across quite a few Ibanez basses that caught my attention. My Luthier recommended the brand, due to the quality work they do in their factories & the added-value of their workmanship & electronics. I was NOT disappointed when this bass arrived. Streamlined, sexy, comfortable, emminently playable, & designed to perfection! I have some work to do with getting a handle on the extra string (the 'C', which I haven't worked with before), but I'm confident that I couldn't have bought a better bass at this low price. Superb all rounder.
Superb range of tones available and is just as at home playing Jazz as it is playing Heavy Rock and Metal. Just as good for seasoned players or for a first foray into the 6 string bass playing world. The top end is excellent for soloing and with a good guitar effects pedal, you can get a good bass line whilst playing lead too. For the price it is a definite "must have".
