I bought this work out video a few weeks ago and find the music and set up to be very fun. The exercise moves in most of the routines are more like 70's dance moves and fairly low impact, which is what I was looking for. You do need a decent amount of floor space to work out in as you are grape vining and moving fowards and backwards quite a bit during the routines. The video starts out with a warm-up, goes into a lower interval excercise routine and then a higher interval exercise routine and so forth and finally ending with a cool down section and crunch section. I don't have a lot of time to workout and the entire video run time is about 72 minutes, so I just go directly to the menu and pick the routines that I want to work on that day.
Well it defenitly gets you moving. I like this exercise DVD because even though parts in it are some what silly you feel like your with a group of people of all shapes and sizes. It anoys me to have extreamly thin people on a video that dont seam to have had my struggles even tough they may have. This video has all shapes and sizes of people full of songs that build you up and encourage and energize you. I know that there are some other great programs out their and their all different, this one worked for me and so its one I perfer to stick with.I took me about a week or so to learn the moves but once I did it was lots more fun.
This is definitely a must have in the collection of Richard Simmons' workouts! If you are old school (as I am), you remember the 'Disco' era, then you will absolutely love this DVD! Great songs, great workouts, easy to learn routines!!! I'm soooooo glad I bought this!

I love this workout with Richard Simmons. It is over an hour long - longer than I do most of the time. There is a very good abs workout towards the end. I have other Richard Simmons workouts but this one suites me the best because the exercises flow smoothly with the music and by the end, you truly feel you have had a workout.

I figured this would be a no-brainer! Granted I'm not someone who normally ever dances. Hey, I'm in my own home, right?! Boy was I wrong. No intro, no nothing, straight to business. At a pace quick enough that you'd better know those moves and be able to get into the swing of things. I think a review of the steps would have been nice. Like I said, I'm no dancer so I will never use this DVD, and I exercise daily. This was not my idea of fun. Just couldn't get the steps down quick enough, and gave up. I crave instruction! I will stick with Leslie Sansone, and a few other favs. Anyone can do hers!
Finally replaced my VHS tape!. Love this little work out and the nostalgia it brings.

Brand new Dvd, still in wrapper. I like Richard Simmons workouts because you can set your own pace. He keeps it fun and encouraging. I decided to buy it because I liked the music from the 70' better than the 50's. Or the 80's or 90's. And I needed a way to work out that I would go back to and not just shelve it. The songs are fun and memorable. Some of the steps are a little difficult to decipher, but keeping at it, one picks up fairly quickly. I have been using it for a week now, working out every other day. It gets easier everytime I use it. Hope to see good results in my weigh in, tomorrow!
One of my all-time favorite exercise programs. The songs I grew up with . . . and, even though not sung by the original artists, they do a very good job. Richard keeps your whole body moving, always including your arms. Upbeat, fun and easy to follow ~ and glad I upgraded to the DVD (finally put that antique VCR to rest).
