Product Information

The Knight 209 Primer Conversion Kit is designed to convert a Knight muzzleloader so that it can use 209 primers. This model is only compatible with certain rifles, including the Knight 50 Caliber LK, the Wolverine, the USAK, the BH, the TK2000, the BK, the MK85, and all pre-1995 .54 caliber rifles. This kit comes with a special Knight breech plug, a combo tool, a hammer assembly, 20 full plastic jackets, and a full plastic capper and decapper. The plastic jackets are designed to withstand rain, water, and other inclement weather.

    improvement over #11 caps

    Works great and easy install, but the capper/de-capper tool doesn't work well with an MK-85 rifle because of the narrow opening. Other than that, I like the upgrade.

    Does not improve overall shoot-ability.

    This conversion kit makes installing a new primer and removing the old even more cumbersome that the original #11 bolt assembly. The primer tends to back out of the disk during ignition making removal of the spent disk time consuming. Ignition is more dependable than #11 caps but that comes with a cost. I would have been better off applying the money spent on the conversion kit on a new rifle. Live and learn.

    Got this old knight wolverine given to me never shot. 209 primer update kit made the gun easier to get primers for. works great.

    much better ignition for my muzzleloader

    had a lot of misfires after they went from the 6 pedal musket caps to the 4 pedal. have not had a single misfire since converting to the 209 primer. you get a lot for the price of this kit
