I have one of the original Nintendo DS devices and while I've been tempted to upgrade so I can download classics I love (like Dr. Mario), I hesitate because mine is still in great shape! I finally decided to try out cartridges that were meant for the Advance model Gameboys and IT WORKS! I am so happy! It arrived quickly, works great and has me totally addicted just like when I was a kid! Thank you!!! :)

The graphics on this new Advanced generation of Dr Mario makes the pills smaller and harder to see than previous versions of this game. Very disappointing.

Even though Mario spent most of his time dealing with plumbing problems and saving the princess, he somehow managed to get his degree in medicine. Your task....help destroy the viruses. Most Tetris players may find it similar to it. Dr. Mario is extremely similar to Tetris II. Originally for NES, Nintendo decided to re-release it for Gameboy Advance, seeing that Dr. Mario one of those games that has been a constant for Nintendo owners. Gameplay: 10/10 Dr. Mario is completely addictive! If you love the Tetris series, no doubt you'll be hooked in minutes. Graphics: 7.5/10 There are three different background patterns depending on the speed setting that you chose. Though nothing too fancy, there are some fun things. Sound: 6/10 Besides a few choices of music, the sound is what one would expect from a NES game. Some tunes manage to be catchy, but get stuck in your head after a while. Overall: 9/10 A great game whether playing alone or with an opponent. However, if puzzle games dont appeal to you, it's most likely you're not going to like this game.Read full review
I used to play Dr. Mario on the original Nintendo console when I was younger. I was very excited to find it for Game Boy Advance! It's very addictive and, in my opinion, much better than Tetris. I would love to be able to save my progress, but a lot of older games are like that and the original Mario Brothers game is the same way. I'm not much of a gamer but I do love my Mario Brothers! Dr. Mario is an awesome choice and provides a ton of fun.
I bought Dr. Mario because I remembered playing the game as a kid and while browsing thru a list of all the GBA games; I saw Nintendo made this one. I wished Nintendo would've embraced the idea of making MORE old NES games for the GBA, other than the few select that they chose to make. But, if you want old NES games, I guess you have to get them on the Wii Virtual Console. There is nothing to dislike about the product. I bought it, it works. No need for an instruction booklet. I don't consider myself a gamer or a collecter, so there was no need for the box and whatnot.
