"Dark Chocolate Dog Bone" amp habdle
Fender has recently revised the "dog bone" handle. This one is close to the original in color (but not exact) and in the material used to make the handle (again, probably not exactly the same material as the original but very close.) I have heard rumor of these new handle breaking easily, which the originals held up very good I've the years.

My Brown Super circa 1960 had not had a real HANDLE on it since circa 1975, so when these became available I was more than a little curious. I FINALLY ! [ after far too much procrastination, so very Cancerian ] ORDERED one, and to my utmost delight, it FIT THE ORIGINAL holes like it should. KUDOS to Fender for making it available again, and now my brown Super looks just as bad-... as it ever did. Next item for it is a COVER. Good item value priced!
Comfortable handle is easy to install. However being that it is made of unreinforced rubber compound it can break unexpectedly but you should get years if use out of it. I do not recommend using it with a heavy fender amp such as a twin reverb or a hot rod deville combo.

Great reproduction handle!
I purchased this reproduction handle to replace the existing handle on my 1963 Fender Pro amplifier. The fit and appearance (compared to the original) is almost exactly identical. The size of the font on the original is larger than the reproduction; but at a few feet away, it is not noticeable. I was able to use the amps' existing screws in the reproduction handle feet. Highly recommended.
