    Best maintenance practice

    The NcStar rings are very well made. However, the ring screws should be a hardened type of fastener. 25" lbs is the standard torque. These screws maybe metric ? Without being too much of a pain, you may need to re-thread ring inserts. Standard screws might be 6-48, 8-36, 8-40. Leupold or Badger screws are available, may require drill bit & tap. These will now be stronger than a suspension bridge. You can turn scope mounting into a fine science by lapping & bedding the base & mounts. Just don't drop it.

    If you are mounting a 30mm scope with 50mm objective on a Ruger American short action, these will work, however, you will need to file out the groove for the rings to fit the bases or buy bases. So far so good, scope bell is 3/16" above barrel,
