These two Seagate Hard Drives seem to be working. The Seller did cause confusion, because it took awhile to find the Hard Drives with specifications that I requested. They said one Drive was bad and asked if I wanted a refund. Then, they said that they found another Hard Drive and shipped them. The Seller also, increased the price of these Hard Drives. It was still a good price. Shipping took a little longer than I expected, from China. The Drives were packed safely with bubble wrap.

    500GB Seagate Momentus

    I purchased this 500GB (16MB Cache, 7200 RPM) 2.5 inch Seagate Momentus to replace the 80GB HDD in my PS3. Much like Western Digital, Seagate continues to make great hard drives. Before purchasing it I did my homework and found that the PS3 systems come equipped with a 5400 RPM HDD. This jump from 5400 to 7200 RPM may not seem like much, however there is conclusive evidence to show that there is a definitive performance increase and average 10% increase in game install times. There is a 5% increase in file transfer speeds and an average cut of 2 seconds off loading times. The 16MB Cache also plays a role in producing better drive read and write times. I would highly recommend this HDD to anyone looking to upgrade there laptop or PS3 gaming system.

    if you want speed , well just go buy it.

    I recently purchased a laptop without a hard drive , the thing about most laptops is the 5300 rpm speed for most of the hard drives that come standard with them.. Now I don't know the spec. at what gb per second that the 5300 rpm drive give out.. But I do know engines and rpm and speed vs speed so , I naturally understand that 7200 rpm will out run on any given day the hello out of 5300 rpm drive, so the decision to speed up this 2nd hand laptop was just a given. It works great and is very responsive , simple math .

    Great Hard Drive. Easy install and quick response time.

    Seagate is a great manufacturer of hard drives. Quick and ample storage space. Great product! My last Dell Xps M1710 had this hard drive and i had not one problem with it. I just upgraded a Toshiba A135-S4527 with this. Hitachi 100 gb hard drive gone. Fast Seagate replaced. Awesome product!

    Great Product and Great Price!

    I bought this because I needed a 2.5" Hard Drive. I really did like this Hard drive because It had good RPM's, and It was overall what I just needed. It was also cheap. I was going to go with a Western Digital Velociraptor but they can be really spendy!
