OVERAL SOUND QUALTIY BETTER BUT LACKS WHAT A LITTLE SOMETHING.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE PURCHASED A ROUND SPEAKER FOR A VEHICLE. I'VE ALWAYS OWNED A VEHICLE WITH LIKE 4X6 AND 6X9 SETUPS. I ACTUALLY HAD A EARLY 2010+ MODEL COMPONENT 6X9 AND A COAXLE 6X9 BOTH P SERIES FOSGATES AND BOTH 6X9S HAD CONSIDERABLY MORE BASS BUT AT A COST OF CLARITY OF THAT BASS. I TEST ALL THREE SPEAKERS ON THE SAME SONG AT THE SAME VOLUME LEVELS FROM LOW TO HIGH POWER. WHILE THE 6X9S BEAT THE ROUND SPEAKER AT BASS AT BOTH LOW AND HIGH LEVELS THE ROUND DID SOUND TO ME TO BE A BIT MORE CRISP WITH THE BASS BUT NOT WHAT IM USED TOO. I TESTED THESE ON A HOUSE RECEIVER SO IM HOPING THE BASS WILL BE BETTER ON A AMP (FOSGATE PRIME R300X4 AND A RFX 9420 DECK) SETUP IM INSTALLING WITH THESE SPEAKERS. SO SOMEONE THAT WANTS A GOOD SOUND SYSTEM WITH A LITTLE BASS MAY STILL WANT TO GO WITH A SUB SETUP WITH THESE. ALL AND ALL IF YOU WANTING A LITTLE MORE BASS WITHOUT SUBS AND AT THE PRICE POINT COAXIAL 6X9S ARE THE WAY TO GO FOR YOU. BUT I THINK SOMETHING LOOKING FOR A HIGHER SOUND QUALITYY AT LOWER LEVELS AND HIGH THIS WOULD BE A GET SET FOR YOU.
