Tough but light as a feather.
This watch is quite durable and well crafted. The features are plentiful for a watch in this price range and the watch is easy to program. The support fins on the underside of the band make the watch very comfortable to wear. I sleep with mine and it never gets in the way or wakes me. The 'illuminator" feature gives you a 3 or 5 second burst of light making it easy to read the time in pitch black conditions. My favorite features are the countdown alarm, large buttons, and durability. I have worn this watch while mountain biking, hiking, and swimming and it has held up extremely well. Strong enough for military use but not so technical it costs and arm and a leg. I'd buy this watch again if anything happened to this one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good concept but Tidal function is screwy
I bought the watch as a supplement to my dive gear. I wanted to have a an on the fly tidal reference but Casio doesn't tell you the software doesn't work in places like the gulf of Mexico where there are only 1 high and 1 low tide per 24 hrs. A great tool watch for anyone who likes to fish or surf
The G-Shock G7900-1 display is easy to read and a great tool watch for anyone who likes to fish or surf with accurate read outs for hide tide and moon phase. I modified mine with a Jay & Kays metal strap adapter and Binlun black/red nato strap. It looks amazing and it's super comfortable on wrist compared to the original vinyl strap.
