    Brakes never stood a chance!

    After discovering that the rear brake rotors in my '04 VW GTI VR6 2.8l were extremely compromised by rust and the contact patch of the pads was barely 60%, I knew I had to act swiftly. Much investigating online led me to the conclusion that the piston was a "wind-back" design and that I was going to need a mechanical advantage to complete the job. I found the very same kit at Harbor Freight but it was nearly twice the price. The reviews of this product suggest the material used is cheap, and therefore thicker. Turns out this was true enough to matter in my case. But I was able to wind it back enough to get the whole tool in place with just an extra step. Bottom line, this tool made this job extremely easy. I am glad I purchased this tool, and recommend it to the DIY Shade tree ...

    A got to have for the guy that does all his own auto work!

    For occasional use it's a more than ample product. Not plated like you would expect from a much more expensive kit but its of all steel construction nicely packaged.

    Save on labor costs!
