    Nostalgia-filled Goodness

    Steamboat Willie is such a classic and to build what feels like a piece of history makes it feel special. Not only that, but this is the first Lego set I've built in over a decade, and it brought me back to my childhood putting it together. This set has reignited my passion for Legos And I am looking forward to what else I can build down this rabbit hole! It only took a few hours to put it all together, and was fun all the way through. Highly recommended!

    Great Classic Collector's Piece

    Love it! The black and white pieces give it a classic aesthetic and makes for a great display piece. The movement of the steam pipes and the anchor pulley system adds a fun touch of animation. The build uses complex techniques with the technic pieces. I really appreciated that the interior frame is so colorful - made building a lot easier than if it were all black/white like the exterior. The little tools, bird, and potato box, are other nice details. I wish Mickey were in a whistling pose or there were more reference to the sound - this was after all the first Mickey short with sound! 1928 is too common and overused as a reference for Mickey in my opinion. Overall, a strong recommendation at its original price. Only recommended for more serious collectors at a higher ebay ...
