    This hub works great - as long as you don't intend to use it remotely. Was not accessible from the internet. Had it checked by my internet provider (Port is open) after having it checked by Insteon's tech service (granted access to my system). Internet access remains non-existent. If you want or need an Insteon hub, try the newer model, the 2245-222.

    I was able to use my Insteon wall switch...

    I was able to use my Insteon wall switches and plug-ins again using Home Assistant without paying for an Insteon subscription! Thanks! Wish I didn't sell off some of my other switches and plug-ins early on when the Insteon server went dark. I was able to interface with Alexa using Hue Emulation without paying for HA's cloud subscription.

    Sometimes older is better.

    I prefer this to the more recent model because it still works with HouseLinc software. I use commands like a turn-on one hour before sunset and perhaps a later dimming of that light at 11PM. I could not do that with the iphone app.

    Better than the 2245-222....this model does NOT require internet access to the Insteon central site. It also has X10 access as well as Insteon radio
