About this product

Product Information

Oliver Stone's hard-hitting look at the adrenaline-fueled world of pro football stars Al Pacino as Miama Sharks coach Tony D'Amato. Having just lost his star quarterback, Jack Rooney (Dennis Quaid), he's forced to use the erratic Willie Beamen (Jamie Foxx) off the bench, hoping he can resuscitate his team, which is floundering on the field and in attendance figures. If not, Christina Pagniacci (Cameron Diaz), the team's new owner, may be drop-kicking him to a new destination.

    Damn Good

One of the best sports films in recent years. The only draw back are the stadium shots and the teams they play. Not the best costume designs

  • Any Given Sunday

When a devastating hit knocks a professional football legend and quarterback Cap Rooney out of the game, a young, unknown third-stringer is called in to replace him. Having ridden the bench for years because of a string of bad luck stories and perhaps insufficient character, Willie Beaman seizes what may be his last chance, and lights up the field with a raw display of athletic prowess. His stunning performance over several games is so outstanding and fresh it seems to augur a new era in the history of this Miami franchise, and forces aging coach Tony D'Amato to reevaluate his time-tested values and strategies and begin to confront the fact that the game, as well as post-modern life may be passing him by. Wild and outrageous, Any Given Sunday gives you a glimpses into an athletic ...

  • This movie is the Moneyball of football

This is my favorite football movie because it really shows what goes on behind the scenes. The acting is spectacular, Al Pacino and Jamie Foxx were fantastic as were the otheractors who I normally don't rush out to see. Also, the actual football scenes were so realistic that I felt as if I were there. I have seen this movie 5 times and see something new every time I watch it.

  • Gritty & Intriguing

This movie is a gritty and intriguing look into the life of professional athletes. I believe that it paints a pretty accurate portrayal of the moral dilemmas that everyone directly involved in professional athletics is faced with at any given point in time. As a female that can follow a football game easier than any other professional sport, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and it is not exclusively because of the full frontal nudity locker room scene either.
