Product uses a USB connection so no need to worry about finding the power cord or a place to plug it in like with some external speakers. Only drawback is that there is no volume control on the speakers themselves as in other Dell External Speakers I have owned. That would make these a home run if it had that. The sound quality is very good with some engineered baffling to try and improve the sound and I believe it gives some depth to the sound that is being produced.

They arrive in what seemed to be original packaging. When I connected these to a new Dell computer there was no sound. I thought the problem was the new computer so I tried them with a different computer where I was having no problem with sound out. Still nothing from these speakers.

I can't say enough good things about these speakers! The price was excellent, they fit nicely in the corners of my desk at work, and the sound quality is great. I was happier with the size of the speakers than I thought I would be. I like the volume control, set flush with the top of the speaker. The USB power cord and speaker connect hooks directly to the front of my CPU. The only way that I think Dell could improve on them is to make the speaker wires a bit longer. I had to move my CPU in order to make them reach onto my destop where I wanted them. THAT was a pain, but I did get manage to do it. Another 3-4 feet of wire would have done the trick. All in all, I gave these speakers a rating of "good". The only reason I didn't rate them "excellent" was because of the need for longer wires. I would highly recommend them!Read full review
What I like best about these speakers is the only use 1.2 watts of electricity, since they are ran out of the usb for power, I like the easy to use volume dial on top of the speaker, especially if you have bad hands. One thing I wish tell put on their speakers is a headphone jack? I like the little led light built in that tells you if their is power to the speakers... I like how sleek they look the most!
Just got these speakers, way better then the Logitech S120 speakers I had. These can actually be relatively loud. Not the loudest though, thats why I give them 4 stars. I love my music loud and I do realize that I'm not going to get ear popping loud from $15 speakers. The bad part about these is that if you max the volume on the speakers and your computer they can get kinda fuzzy, not annoyingly fuzzy but you can still hear it. I would definitely recommended these though. You are not going to find any speakers this good without spending at least $50.
Despite their size, these speakers can deliver a nice strong booming sound. The quality of the audio is decent. Lows and highs are better than the midrange frequencies. Music sounds great, but vocals sound thin and without much presence. The speakers themselves are very stylish, and are well designed. A discrete volume control is built within the frame of the top of the left speaker. Both the speaker connector and the input connectors are nice long cords.
Dell Speakers has good sound quality speakers for what I use it for. So far I haven't found anything that I don't like. I like how lightweight it is, and how the volume is on top of the speaker. Also I like how you connect it to your laptop and not to have to worry about finding an outlet. I can now practice my Vocal Lessons with plugging it into my laptop and voice recorder.

These little speakers were surprisingly perfect. I have a dell computer (desktop) so knew they'd work fine with it (they'll probably work with anything) i love that they're slim, they have an on/off/volume up/down dial on the right side speaker, which is perfect for me because i wear hearing aids and often just use my hearing aids function that turns them into ear buds, but when i need outward volume these work perfectly (speakers stay off while using direct sound to my HA's - simply unplug my HA's and turn the speakers on). The clarity of sound is also more than i thought they'd be for just simple speakers. I'd recommend these to anyone wanting a simple set of speakers that give decent sound without cluttering up desk space.
