    Enough power for my HTPC for Movies and retro games.

    I took the fan off of the heatsink for better acoustics and it runs cool enough (60c under full load). There's still value in intel's older lineup.

    Its alright, its cheap, and reliable.

    I would only get this as temporary fix to get the computer running. Its still a very fast processor, and can handle high demanding games pretty well. I might be a huge problem though if you want to use 3d modeling software.

    Good for basic processing, but not for a user

    I wouldn't put this in a machine that needs a user interacting with it. I'm using it for a headless mining rig where the GPUs are doing all the heavy lifting. For that it's ALMOST overkill.
