'08 Ford Mustang 7.5" Yukon Powergrip Posi LSD 28 spline w/master install kit
Wow, is what I'd like to say first. I was really intimidated at first whether I made the right choice and if I was going to be able to do the install or not. I don't recommend you doing this yourself if you have no mechanic-ing skills at all. I'm not the most skilled mechanic by far. But I am able to figure how things come apart and how they go back together. I've done of my own mechanic work on my tow trucks when I had my own business. I was able to gather enough information from watching you tube videos and reading up on the internet all I could. Again don't try this if you are not mechanically inclined. It takes some figuring out how it is supposed to be set up and measured correctly for the right sized shims and everything. You cannot guess that won't work. I highly recommend getting a ... I highly recommend getting a gauge to measure the backlash correctly. The videos help with a lot of what to do. But they don't explain details that you need to know how to set up the gauge to get the right measurement. So enough of that. This is a Great Posi LSD gear box it seems to be built really well. Nice and solid. I broke it in like a new rear axle is supposed to be broke in. I took it for my test drive and Wow. I can really feel the difference between this Posi and the open gear box it had originally. Now I have no hesitation or jerking when I shift from reverse to drive. And no downshift popping when I am going up hills. Just shifts so nice and smooth better than brand new. It is nice and quiet too no more whining from bad bearings. I have read negative reviews on this being very noisy. That is not true at all. I believe that if they installed it themselves or had non- experienced mechanics install them that they did not set it up correctly then there would be some noise possibly. But I have to say that I couldn't be happier with this kit and install. Trust me it is not easy unless you do this all the time for a living. Thank you for such a Great product. Keep up the good quality on your product.
