Toshiba's new PDR-M65 is a high-quality, low-cost 3.3 Megapixel digital still camera that incorporates state-of-the-art imaging performance with exceptional ease-of-use. The PDR-M65 boasts the professional-level features of digital cameras costing hundreds of dollars more, such as lightning-fast USB downloading, a five-mode automatic flash system, and advanced circuitry for quicker booting and less time between shots. Key to its success is an innovative 3.3 megapixel, 1/2-inch CCD that captures vivid color pictures in resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera also sports an all-glass 38mm, 35mm equivalent lens with a 3X Optical Zoom that operates like those found on traditional film cameras.To further improve lens performance, a Macro Mode has been built-in for close-ups up to 3.9 inches. And with the use of an optional filter/lens ring adapter, commercially available 52mm optical filters or lens can be attached to this camera. To frame pictures, the PDR-M65 is equipped with both an LCD and an optical viewfinder. The camera's five-mode flash system (automatic, red-eye reduction, forced-fill flash, slow synchro and force-off) is easily adjusted to any lighting condition up to 10-feet from the subject, extending the camera's effectiveness to a wide range of lighting conditions, indoors and outdoors.Breakneck downloading speed is a tradition for Toshiba cameras, and the PDR-M65 is no exception. Thanks to an exclusive software driver and USB technology, the PDR-M65 downloads even the largest images in less than a second. It also has a video out connector for viewing photos on a television. Housed in an elegant-looking but rugged body, the pocket-sized PDR-M65 is one of the smallest cameras on the market today. Weighing a mere 10.2 ounces and measuring a compact 4.76(W) x 2.95(H) x 2.4(D) inches, the camera fits easily into a briefcase, a coat pocket, or a purse.

    not as hot as everyone thinks it is

    this camera is a okay camera for beginners and it is easy to use but the image viewing is the downfall for this camera. it has a sliding scale that increases to fast and the imaging is not that great. i had to buy a imaging photo suite program for increasing the picture quality. the sony sure shot that i have now is a much better camera. it is alittle harder to understand but...once you read the book it becomes easy and it comes with a mic and removable memory and you do not have to buy batteries for it and it makes movies also. the toshiba pdr m 65 ..i was always having to replace the batteies in the unit. and they went dead farly fast. every three weeks i had to put new ones in and it taks 4 aa batteries. that can get costly after awhile

    Used Toshiba M65 camera

    I bid on this used camera because of the low price, however before the auction ended the price went up, I wish I had stopped bidding and let this "deal" slip through my fingers. I didn't realize there was no USB cable, no instruction manual, and no software - I don't think the auction stated any of that or I wouldn't have bothered. I'm fairly new to digital cameras so not real sure of all the features, this was supposed to be easy to operate, but I was mainly getting it for my daughter to get started with, we have played around with it and have found that the LCD display is dark and the batteries run low quickly. I really wish I had spent a few extra dollars and bought new!!! Her birthday is coming up so I'll be buying her a brand new higher mega-pixel camera with all the accessories ...

    Easy to use for first timer

    This Camera is very easy to use for a first time digital camera user like myself. I have been using it to put my pictures on ebay and I think they come out pretty good. I'm not a photographer either. Some pictures could be more clearer but I think that is my fault and lighting.The only problem I would say is that the batteries do not last very long.

    The M65 is the one!

    I like the feel of a good solid camera. Takes very good pics. It's too big for a pocket unless you have a jacket with big pockets. Formatting is a little different but is easy to pick up. My only complain is that it takes 4 aa batteries and they don't last very long. If they have rechargeable batteries,then I'd look into getting some. All-in-all,this is a great camera that gets you in the running!
