I remember playing this as a teenager. Its a good adventure cd rom game for Mac os 9 or windows 95. Totally worth trying out if you have the computer to run it. I heard you could play it in virual PC. Anyway. thumbs up!

A Fine End to a Legacy
While the strongest game in the series will always be The Journeyman Project 2 : Buried in Time, The Journeyman Project 3 : Legacy of Time is still a fine piece of gaming. Third in a series from now-dismantled company, Presto Studios, who caught the eye of the industry with their original Journeyman Project game. The story directly follows the events in the previous chapter -- Buried in Time. Featuring the same characters, as well as a triumphant return of the ever-chatty Arthur, the AI picked up in a time period, with a wrecked space station. The strongest elements of this game are the well developed story and the good use of full motion videos to enhance character interaction. Graphically, the panoramic views and the pre-rendered animation and background artworks have created a very ... The puzzles are all logical and not overly difficult. For gamers who have played both previous titles, the enjoyment of how the entire trilogy comes together and makes an even larger story as a whole, much like a large puzzle piecing together with no pieces left out, is rather impressive and very satisfying. The amount of depth and research put into recreating the time periods is commendable and show an obvious labor of love in its detail. The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time is a title that has been underrated by many game critics. I find playing this game to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Much energy and talent has been put into making a game that tells a detailed and well developed story which both compliments and concludes both previous titles of this series. Believable graphics, credible character interactions, and logical puzzles all make this game a solid recommendation for fans who love a solid graphic adventure.

Good, fun, challenging
I enjoyed playing the game, even though I experienced problems with the sound (There was distortion no matter how much I fiddled with compatibility and my sound system, which I put down to the era of the game (1998) and that I was playing it on Vista). The character acting was fairly good though Gage was rather staring-eyed. The graphics are great and one can even hear Gage's feet crunching on surfaces such as snow! The puzzles are fairly challenging and clues/items are distributed in a non-linear fashion across the three locations: Atlantis, El Dorado and Shangri La. Arthur drove me crazy with his innane comments, but didn't turn him off because he did give some useful info at times. No spoilers, but I suspect that the ending of the game sets up for a sequel with Gage becoming a ... Journeyman 3: it should be re-released!
I wanted to try this game out because I remember playing a demo of it that came bundled with the original edition of Riven. It's a pretty fun game and not as challenging as Myst or Riven, due to the fact that a "guide" (who you can silence) gives out periodic clues. It is an intelligently written game in terms of its storyline and must have been considered very well made (in terms of images) for its day, that is 1998. While some parts of it seem a little silly, it is generally a very memorable game--particularly for its portrayal of a 13th century Buddhist monastery (Shangri-la) in Tibet, its conjectures about the religious beliefs of Atlanteans, as well as the purpose of the lines of Nazca. It places all of these things very well into a sci-fi/fantasy context. If you like exploration ...
