i have had 2 of these among other portable speakers that are 4x more expensive. this is just simply one of the best values in the portable sound world. here's why: 1) the sound is amazing from a unit priced this low. (even if you are picky, this unit has very expansive bass, and well balanced sound....remember that it has an 8 hour break-in period for the best sound. turn it on, and let it play for a few hours and it sounds much more balanced and clear.) the sound is incredible for the size of the unit, and to me, on par, sound wise, with the 100 dollar units....beats, monster, etc. 2)the quality is amazing. i have taken this to deserts, lakes, mountains, dropped them, banged them up, and used them for hundreds of hours with absolutely no issues. both the 3mm input plug and usb are ... i have had 2 of these among other portable speakers that are 4x more expensive. this is just simply one of the best values in the portable sound world. here's why: 1) the sound is amazing from a unit priced this low. (even if you are picky, this unit has very expansive bass, and well balanced sound....remember that it has an 8 hour break-in period for the best sound. turn it on, and let it play for a few hours and it sounds much more balanced and clear.) the sound is incredible for the size of the unit, and to me, on par, sound wise, with the 100 dollar units....beats, monster, etc. 2)the quality is amazing. i have taken this to deserts, lakes, mountains, dropped them, banged them up, and used them for hundreds of hours with absolutely no issues. both the 3mm input plug and usb are plenty strong. the grills on each side on the 2 speakers are metal. unit looks great, regardless of cost. 3)the battery life is amazing, lasting me for a good 5-6 hours at full power before sound starts to compromise a bit. the battery is replaceable, and i bought 4 extras. not necessary. ive never used more than one for backup, so one extra is all you should need. (if any..) 4)the USB feature is amazingly handy, and is a mind blowing feature for the price range. i load a bunch of songs on a Sandisk Fit flash drive (which are small, flush fitting USB thumb drives) and then i have a cube that plays all my favorite music of the day for hours with no need for cords or buying batteries. with this option, there is no song display so you have the task of skipping back or forward if you want to find a song. you can connect this to an MP3 player or phone to see and directly go to a specific song via your attached device. 5) in my opinion, after hours of listening, perusing forums, and looking at others, this is a clear winner. it is NOT Bluetooth, which is what i wanted (because of battery drain, poor sound quality, and a etc.) if you dont care about that, and are looking for value, durability, and great sound, this is worth a look. i charge this in the car with the included USB cord, and have put these boxes through hell and back. the first one is now so banged up, i bought a second when it was on sale. the average price seems to be about 30 bucks but look around and you can find them for around 20. "Ya get what Ya pay for" is not the case here. you get more in this rare case. thats why i left this review. this thing sounds great, can withstand tons of camping trips, hikes, drops, and has been problem free, as well as a great companion at times!

Sound is terrific! One can select it to play the music consecutively or randomly. It is great as a personal music player for one or two rooms. The 600mah battery, after a couple of uses and recharges, gives 4 hours of playing time. A larger mah battery is available for longer play times. This box is well worth the money for the enjoyment that I have been getting from it! I would recommend it for anyone looking for a personal mp3 player!Sound is terrific! I ordered two of these, I opened one box and used one of the speakers it sounded good and worked good. For a small speaker it does have good sound. I left positive feedback before I opened the other box, which is my mistake. When I did open the other box days later, I was disappointed to find the battery was missing out of the other speaker. So if you buy these, just make sure you have all the pieces to all the speakers you order before you leave feedback.
