While not a true daylight color, it does offer a good amount of brightness! The light is dimmable if you have a dimmable lamp.
This is the second type of SANSI light bulb I have ordered, and, just like the previous example, I am genuinely impressed with it. I previously said it was more of a high-quality light generation device than a boring old light bulb, and I think that of this bulb, too. The SANSI bulbs all share a common design. The lower portion of the bulb is made of plastic with many slots to permit the passage of air. The upper portion of the bulb is made of thick (and heavy) ceramic, shaped as a hollow truncated cone, with the LED chips bonded directly to its outer surface, with a clear plastic cover over the chips and a plastic grate over the open top of the cone. Like a chimney, this design encourages cooling air to flow through the inside of the bulb, so the bulb is cooled from both the inside and ... The power supply for the bulb is located in the chimney, where it is cooled by the airflow. This is a great design. Most LED bulbs fail because the power supply is exposed to excessive heat; the SANSI design eliminates that flaw, and I expect the bulb will actually last for its rated lifetime (there is a 5 year warranty on the bulb). The bulb is very bright and the claimed 2500 lumens is credible. The light color is a warm 3000K. I have it installed in my main living room lamp, and it works perfectly with the lamp dimmer. I have adopted the practice of actually measuring the power draw of the lighting devices I acquire because it turns out that some manufacturers exaggerate - sometimes to an outrageous degree - the rating of their product. That's not the case for this SANSI bulb rated at 17W. Using a power meter, I measured it's power draw to be 18.5W, so it delivers as promised and perhaps a bit more (as did the first SANSI bulb I tested). This is important because (for a given technology) light output is proportional to power consumption. I'm very happy with it, and I absolutely will seek out and buy SANSI products in the future.
