Item as described. Saddle did improve vibration resulting in increased volume but did edge to a higher tone.

Upgrade to orginal Yamaha 80's plastic saddle

I bought this for my 80's Yamaha FG340ii, as a luthier who originally setup the guitar when I bought it new told me I might want to replace the saddle with a bone one, but I never got around to it until now. I chose the compensated saddle as my other acoustics have that type of saddle and thought it would improve the guitars intonation. I had to sand the saddle height and width to get it to fit and still may want to round the ends as the original saddle had curved ends and the Graph Tech has pointy squarish ends. Did it do wonders for the sound?--I don't think it has, as the guitar sounds very much the same as it did before and seems neither better nor worse. The guitar had an excellent tone to begin with, and I still have very good hearing and can still hear high frequencies that most ...

  • Fully Compensated Lower Bridge Nut

Very Nice! I put one on My Acoustic Guitar and WOW, What a Difference! It Really Has a Ring to it Instead of the Regular Thud or Dull Sound it Had. Seems to Have a Longer Sustain on Notes and Even Chords. I Would Recommend Trying Out This. You'll Most Likely Be Happy You Did. Probably Won't Improve Your Playing Ability, But It Just Might Keep the Guitar in Your Hands A Bit Longer, Which Will Improve Your Talent! Keep On Strummin' :)

  • Great Saddle

Exactly what I needed. This saddle gave my guitar the extra height that the action needed, although I did have to take the height down just a bit. It comes slightly over sized (width and length) but, material is easily removed with sandpaper. I think it actually improved the sound as well.

  • As advertised

This was the perfect replacement saddle for my Gretsch Rancher. Arrived on time, as advertised. I needed to do some minor sanding to fit the bridge, and that was expected. Sounds and plays fine.
