    Radeon 5850

    this is a high end video card. every game i threw at it went it played flawlessly at the highest of graphics settings. no lags, no jumps no graphical anomalies. the card is also silent, while other cards may have to sacrifice this silence to create a card that runs cool enough not to burst into flames, this one you can barley hear with your ear right next to it. next, offering a display port, hdmi port and 2 dvi ports it can plug it into nearly any modern monitor. but with 4 avaiable ports it's just begging to make use of that "EYEfinity" (multi-monitor display) which it's box has labeled on it. and is more than capable. it can run up to three at once as though they were one super wide monitor, or three separate monitors each displaying independently from the others. finally with the ...

    I think it's a good component!

    I had needed a video card for my LGA1156 platform with Gigabyte MB and Core-i5 750 CPU. And I'd planned this purchase very very long time! But couldn't decide what to buy, which card exactly, 5850, 5870 or maybe 5970. But I think, I'm not sorry about decision to buy just that! Maybe 5870 a little prefered for me, but I think does not matter. It's almost same cards, I'm sure. But a card have enough high temperature. I hope it won't be a problem in future! Not all games works fine (such as GTA4), but maybe I have lack of DDR or system is unstable already. In conclusion, I guess You won't regret, if You'll buy it! Thanks.

    Great card with great performance and does what it's supposed to do.

    I bought this card to add in a system that already had a Sapphire 1GB 5850 to pair in Crossfire. Worked like a champ. Put the card in, attached crossfire bridge, and AMD driver autodetected and enabled crossfire. Haven't had any issues at all. Very pleased with the purchase, and I would buy a HIS card anytime.

    HD5850

    This was a reference card and thus still has all the voltage control and wide availability of water blocks. In my oppinion ATI has the better cards out now from a perf/watt standpoint and the 5850 is right in the sweet spot of perf/$ as well.
