    Get the genuine artical

The genuine Schaller versions of these strap locks are the way to go. Much higher quality and two options for screws included. I always use the longer ones as the screws for these Schaller buttons always seem a little smaller than the screws that came with the strap buttons on guitars and the longer screws bite into fresh wood and don't come loose. For a little more money get the real thing. Besides, sometimes the chinese knockoffs are not compatible with the real Schallers as the buttons are either too big or the clamps are to small to work with each others. You can also get just the genuine Schaller buttons as a kit too without the lock/clamps.

  • Do you love your guitar ?

Ever have your guitar hit the floor 'cause your strap came loose ? Never happened to me (I've got 'em on all 80 of my guitars and basses) !!! Why wouldn't you invest around $25 to protect your instrument ? Genuine "Schaller Strap Locks" (not the cheap copies) are easy to install, look great, and make it easy to safely put your strap on and take it off. Like the old American Express ads said, "Don't leave home without them".

  • German Quality still shines

I've got LOTS of money in the most expensive gits out there, so guaranteeing their safety is paramount. I'm certainly happy to pay a fair price for it, and have by putting these Schallers on all of them. I've got gold, nickel, and black. They all seem to hold up very well with the black showing the most wear, BUT, they're on my Gibby 86 V with 84 Shaw's in it, and I work that plank more than most of my Paul's, so....my bad, Schallers good! They'll show wear after 100+ shows, so buy some new ones! The nickels wear the best. I think they're solid.

  • The real thing - Made in Germany.

I don't gig so I can't comment on how durable the straplock is but from what I've read, even the Fender licensed lock aren't as good as the original, not to mention the Chinese clones. It was very easy to install. How much is your guitar worth to you? This is cheap insurance in comparison.

  • Great way to keep your baby safe and sound!

It seems silly to my that old-style strap buttons are still standard on most guitars. All should come stock with locking strap buttons, in my opinion. But, in the mean time, these are the bomb!
