    Great little setup for the price, the mag base works and is of ok strength. The arms/knuckles lock up pretty tight. Gauge looks and feels fair enough but have not tested it for accuracy. Shipping was fast and decently packed. Great seller! A+!

    For the price it's good

    Tools don't live very long where I work so I don't take my good tools. I needed one to check the run out on electric motors and this one has worked great. The magnet is a little on the weak side but it has stayed where I put it so far. If you're looking for a good high quality dial indicator and base pass this one by. If you're needing a low price one that you don't have to worry about getting destroyed then this one will fill the bill.

    ok

    The mag base, the arm is pretty good but the magnet is weak and has the worst ground finish i have ever seen. I reground it so it looks good but doesnt hold that well. The indicator works decent but the cover intruded into the dovetail making it not go on some of my holders so i took about .010 off it. Don't dissamble its hard t lo get back together as the cover is half the bearing for the internals unlike the b&s which has a cover that is just a cover. If you do super precision work this item may annoy you too much but it seems to repeat good enough for milling and turning work. I am not entirely displeased i use it on the bridgeport when i work there.

    Universal Magnetic indicator holder arm - works GREAT

    Universal Magnetic indicator holder arm. Great unit, it locks up plenty tight and works great. I mounted it on a large flat disc magnet. It works well and is ROCK SOLID. I like it. I bought a smaller red one at the same time and it is not as good as this one. I very highly recommend this unit, you will not regret the purchase. UPDATE: I have noticed the center pivot point has become very stiff and takes effort to move and adjust, I think this is because I have it stored tight and locked into position. This does not keep me from using the unit but is inconvenient. Looks like it will need disassembly and maybe some grease. I'll do another update after I take it apart and say if the lube restores free movement.

    When Good Enough is Good Enough

    Perfect holder for my application and it does the job for me as good as the "High Priced Spread" I do have Noga's and love them but for occasional use this one does work just fine without breaking the bank.
