    After installing the Gas cap my engine light that I NEVER had problem turned on so I bought another Gas Cap and my problem is solved. Not to mention when I receive the package the original sealed package was open!

    Replacement gas cap for 1999 Mercury Sable Station Wagon LS

    From what I can tell so far, the cap seems to meet my needs; however, only time will tell. My fingers are crossed. IF the problem WAS the gas cap, I think this replacement will solve the problem. Promptly shipped and properly packed.

    compatability

    The gas cap was suppose to fit my 2008 Ford Ranger but it didn't. It wasn't worth sending it back so I just transferred the gasket from the new one to the old one. It fixed the problem. To bad they just don't sell the gasket.
