I bought this to use when I take photos while the camera is on a tripod. With this remote I don't have any camera shake from pressing the shutter manually. The self timer is not that convenient to activate all the time so I purchased this remote and could not be happier with it. Very easy to setup and use, works from a variety of angles, you don't have to be in front of the camera.
