It's plastic with a tight clamp-on lid, and directions say cook bacon one minute. After 3 minutes (new micro,so power is fine), it was still a gelatinous mess of steamed bloated fat. Thanks, no thanks. Save your $. I've donated this to a friend to store kibbles for their cat. Bacon Maker No. Kibble keeper Yes.

    Do U like chewy bacon?

    Well I do .This microwave bacon maker is what u are looking 4 .In my man cave I have a 700w micro I put 4 slices of bacon in this griller for 4 minutes ( 1 min a slice dah ) comes out perfect for a Kaiser roll My go to late nite snack. May I add with your choice of bbq sauce . For the price what do you have to lose. Now where did I hear that from?
