I have a 10-year-old field bred bird dog and live in a county of Pennsylvania that is rife with Lyme's and other tick bourne disease. For years I've been using another shoulder applied product which cost me about $11-15 a month. I have also tried to use the collars around the neck for tick and flea prevention. My dog ended up catching Lyme's disease about 5 years ago despite my preventative efforts and even being vaccinated. There is no horror greater in this world than having your dog who you care deeply for catching this terrible disease. As he has aged, his melodies have worsened due to the disease, of course. It also seems that the ticks are obsessed with my dog and if blasted through the other preventative medications I've been trying to use. I bought this product as a supplement to a ... Even in these icy mornings in November here, I was still pulling 17 ticks off of my dog a day. Since applying Vectra, I have not found one on him. It was extremely easy to apply and utilize an infographic that showed me how to use the lid to puncture the tube to access the medication. My dog didn't do his normal shake it off after the medication was applied and while there's a little greasy residue, it is spread out over the course of his body and within 24 hours I experienced no residue on him. I also did not find the product smeared on too my furniture or walls, wherever he was wont to rub the other shoulder product. I would recommend this product. My dog loves to go into water, so I have not tested this product with that sort of behavior yet, but for field and wood and farmland, so far so good.

I’ve used vectra for over 19 yrs! 10 yrs On my deceased American pit & 9yrs on my English Terrier & on my mixed fur- baby also! Never had a problem with any of them from it! It does what it’s suppose to do great & doesn’t hurt my boys! I’m 76yr old & in an electric wheelchair as I can’t walk but a few steps , yet I take care of my boys! It’s hard to see they have their yrly Ck up & shots & heart worm meds & their Vectra , especially on an income of $1,200 dollars a month, but I’d eat biscuits & milk gravy every meal before they’d do without! So since I can’t get out & find deals, I depend on the Internet to find the best price I can so I can have a few dollars left over to buy some food with , so after I got bk on eBay I knew that I’d find the best prices for most things I need on here! ... Works great for us
Works well for my dog. We go through the woods every day. For about 3 miles everyday off leash. She trees squrils and runs through thick brush. My dog never has any fleas or ticks. I found it last about 5 weeks. I've been using this product for over 3 years and am vary happy with it.
