The converters got here on the day estimated. Thanks for the prompt service. Now I'm off to see how well they work in my project! Oh, nice build, seems to work better than using a LM317 regulator. It fits perfectly where 2 AA batteries would go. OK, I converted a 3v EL wire controller to handle DC from a 12v 1A SMPS that is controlled by a KASA wireless switch, but bypassed the controllers power on/flash IC so it was always on. No batteries, I can schedule the EL light to come on automatically!

The item I received was a completely different, smaller size than the one I ordered from the listing. It also had a completely different graphic. However, the seller refunded 45% of the purchase price and I kept the incorrect item, so I am going to go ahead and post positive feedback, although I am not exactly happy about receiving the wrong item. I will buy what I actually needed elsewhere, but I most certainly will be confirming with the new seller that the correct item will be shipped.
