Original Velbon Quick Release Plate - QB-5L
The original Velbon Quick Release Plate - QB-5L was purchased to fit on a Velbon Vel-flo 8 PH-258 fluid head, mounted on a Velbon Statos470 VIDEO tripod. The plate base is 51mm (D) x 43mm (W). The top is 57mm (D) x 50mm (W), and is made of cork. A camera with a standard thread mount is attached to the threaded screw on the plate, which can be tightened and loosened with fingers, a flat screwdriver, or with a coin, via the large knurled screw head underneath the plate. The quality feels very solid, and there is zero flex in the plate. I have been trying to find this obsolete quick release plate for years and the ingenuity from this supplier made adjustments to a plate from another brand and it works perfectly.
