    does not work very well at all

    I tried to use this crimper, with RG6 F-connectors from the same manufacturer, to repair an RG6 cable end that was showing an intermittently open ground connection. The tool does not exert anywhere near enough pressure to produce a good crimp, even if I put one handle on a solid surface and lean on the other as hard as I can. (Maybe it would work better if I used a sledge hammer?) The repaired cable tests good with an ohmmeter, but it still does not work any better than before.
