This is a classic kit, originally from the late 1960s. It is simpler to build then the more modern models made today. The simplicity is achieved by fewer parts and less detail, also the fit isn’t as good as new kits, but that can be remedied with basic modeling skills and seam filling putty. With care it still builds up to be a fine model of a historic ship at a much lower price then the more recently produced models. $20-$25 is the max I’d pay for this kit though. I bought mine on eBay for $15 + $10 shipping. It was still factory sealed. The model is 20 inches long when completed.

A Revell kit from when I was a kid. My colleagues in modelling note that this kit especially the hull is the most accurate of any yorktown kit out there. The Scale is odd but there are available some parts that make the kit more accurate. Resin and etch make the kit really stand out So with this kit you can clue it together and be done like when I had it as a kid but now I can go use the new tech to improve it and have fun doing it a lot cheaper than the new kits.
