    Best Bell of Its Type

    This is a brass bell, unlike most of the knockoffs. It has a crystal clear ring tone and is double-action. When you activate the ringer switch, it produces a double ring, which is also unlike the knockoffs which make one ring tone.

    Just what I was looking for.

    I ride a local rail trail often and there are lots of walkers that use the trail also. I felt bad about about startling some walkers when calling “on your left” as I approached them so I thought this bell would be a little gentler warning. It mounted very easily upside down right next to my mountain bike shift lever and is in a very ergonomic position to ring with my thumb. It has a pleasant tone and can be heard from a pretty good distance except on a very windy day. I am pleased with the quality for the price.

    Flee in terror before my mighty bell!

    Okay, it doesn't actually inspire terrified fleeing, but people do move, even if sometimes in the wrong direction. The bell rings twice when you thumb it, it's small and unobtrusive and doesn't completely dork out your bike. It mounts easily without needing to remove anything that's already mounted to the bars. I also considered a handlebar mounted laser cannon (cost prohibitive), a recording of gunfire played over a bluetooth speaker (still considering adding this), or simply screaming profanities in a Scottish brogue. The bell was the easiest and almost as cost effective as screaming highland-based unpleasantries, which I still do sometimes, just to stay in form.

    Mirrycle Incredibell brass duet

    I thought this was inexpensive with a pretty loud high pitch for its compact size. I use it mountain biking on the trail as i descend on a blind turn as a warning and has worked very well.
