      Sometimes it pays to buy genuine

      Being a Suzuki genuine part you know it'll fit and work as it should. The prices can be pretty high, but it's worth checking the price, as sometimes it's not so bad - it won't be cheap though ! The new fuel tap (petcock) flows fuel really well, I didn't measure the flow rate, but it's better than the old tap when it was working okay - more than enough to feed my mildly tuned motor anyway, probably around twice the rate the jets in the carbs can flow at maximum. The standard unit only supplies fuel when the engine runs, I like this , it prevents the risk of hydraulic lock-up and a ton of damage - or flooding if the float valve stops working properly. The last petcock lasted 27 years, with the diaphragm being changed at least once I think, if this one lasts as long I guess it's not that ...
