I bought one of these for my motorcycle 7 years ago. The latch recently broke (probably at least 95% my fault, I jam too much stuff on there and force it closed like 1x/month). Anyway I just bought a new one, got to me fast, and it snapped right into the plate from old trunk. I'll do it again 7 years from now too. It holds my full face helmet too. I bought one of these about 5 years ago. I was happy enough with the old one that when I needed another top box, I went for the same one. They went up in price a bit but not too bad. I picked up some lime green tape and a couple of emblems for my bike to add to this top box. They did fix one issue that the old top box had. the straps to hold the top open were too short so the top would always close on you. The new one has longer straps to the top stays open.

Better Than Expected
Given the low price, I my expectations were low. I was expecting it to be very flimsy, but the case is actually fairly well built. Definitely a great value. Note that this is a small case...it probably won't hold most full-face or modular helmets. That's not a problem for me, as I wanted a small case. I installed this onto my 2017 Suzuki DL650 VStrom. I did have to do some modifications on the mounting plate to make it work. I drilled some new holes and replaced the supplied mounting hardware with stainless steel nuts, bolts, and washers. Not a big deal. Still an excellent value for the money.Given the low price, I my expectations were low. I was expecting it to be very flimsy, but the case is actually fairly well built. 30l tail box for Dl1k
The box took some custom fabrication of brackets to fit it to my vstrom dl1k. Not bad, but what came with it wouldn't work. The small screw that holds the latch on came out and then stripped out very easily. I just used a 1/4" sheet metal screw with the sharp end nipped off to get the length correct. After that it works great. My size large HJC full face helmet will fit in it, but it doesn't seal around and it's a stretch to get the latch to close. I didn't buy it to keep my helmet in anyways. Great bargain
Bought this on a whim to install on my Concours 14. For under 28 bucks I didn’t expect much. I was surprised to find the quality was good and the install was very easy. I lubed the latching mechanism and it works smoothly. My 2XL Shoei helmet fits if carefully laid sideways. Long term durability remains to be seen but I see no reason it won’t do the job. For the money this is the best luggage carrier I've found. Very useful and feels durable. Carries food and clothing with ease and takes the weight off my back. The only downside is the locking mechanism which is clumsy, difficult to use, and generally worthless. I never leave anything of value on my bike anyway though so this doesn't bother me at all. I'd definitely buy one again. For the cost of one GIVI box you can buy four of these....obvious decision to me.For the money this is the best luggage carrier I've found.
