    Resolve Jamming Problem With Ruger Mark IV

    Use the light recoil spring comes with this Volquartsen Recoil Rod & Spring Kit make my Ruger Mark IV works better with most 22lr ammos. Otherwise, the original Ruger Mark IV recoil assembly makes the gun jams a lot on many different 22lr ammos and Ruger doesn't have a solution or a lighter recoil assembly to fix the problem.

    Needs to be modified.

    In order for this rod to be installed and functional it requires modification. I spent a lot of time diagnosing what the problem was before I was able to file away the metal that was obstructing the factory bolt. This was a problem with all three of my Mark IV pistols. It would have been much better if Volquartsen had explained this was going to be an issue prior to my wasted time.

    Ruger 22/45 lite reduced power recoil spring.

    This product works! If your getting lite primmer stikes in your Mk III 22/45 lite, this might be the fix, it was for me. Highly recommend TK parts for this gun as well.

    Easy upgrade to handle standard velocity ammo

    Well made. Required a little fitting for the front slot in the bolt assembly. Installed the std velocity spring and that fixed the ejection problems I was having. A lot easier than using a dremel tool to cut the factory spring.

    Volquartsen Ruger Mark II, 22/45 Recoil Spring

    Like anything Volquartsen designs it works as designed, the light spring took care of my feeding problems with subsonic 22LR's. The design makes changing springs a breeze.
