Recently I was going down a mountain, and found the brakes were not as good as they should be. Thinking about it I can't recall what decade the brake pads were installed, it's time for replacements. Another reason I love rim brakes is that they are so easy to work with. Just install the new pads into there slots, and the attach then to the brake are. The only tools you will need are a small screwdriver and a 5mm Allen wrench, and your good to go. Happy Holidays.

    Perfect fit - work great

I have a 2004 LeMond Arrivee with Ultegra component group. I just turned 10,000 miles so I figured new brake pads were in order. I was able to knock the old ones out with few taps of a plastic mallet, strafe taking out the set screws, of course. The new ones slid in easy as pie. New set screws were included in the package which I secured with a small amount of blue lock tite. Readjustment of the cables was necessary, since my old pads were quite worn. I took the bike on a 61 mile ride shortly after and the brakes were just great. Smooth stopping with no noises. Totally positive experience.

  • It's time for new brake pads when....

Rubber doesn't last forever, over time it becomes hard and slick, and that's not what you want in a rim brake pad. The heat from being outdoors and contacting the rims makes it worse. However, it's an easy fix. When the brake pads arrived I removed the old ones from the bike, removed the pads from their cases, installed the new ones, and put them back on the bike. The only tools I needed were a 5mm Allen key and a small flat screwdriver. It's a twenty minute job that will give you the peace of mind really enjoy those fast decent. Safe Cycling.

  • Good Choice for Dura-Ace Brakes with Shimano Rims

I have been using these pads with my Dura-Ace BR-7900 brakes with Shimano carbon/aluminum rims. Good stopping power except in wet conditions and excellent wear characteristics.

  • Soft on wet stops, saves on the rim. Bike racers don't use brakes.
