Works well for draining a gas tank
I bought this to drain the gas out of my bikes if they have been sitting over a month and use the gas in my car and refill the bike tank with fresh gas to keep it in working order. It works perfect for that. Only takes a few minutes to drain all five gallons using the bikes own battery. I just placed a hose on the intake and stuck it into the tank and other end into a five gallon gas can. Need help w/ this pump!!!
Well, I have a lot to say! First, this was supposed to fit my 50cc scooter as you advertised--it did not ! I had to cut the flanges off just in order to make it able to go in my gas hose & that was still way, way too large for the size of my hose. After getting it hooked up on a temporary basis & testing the pump ran ALL the time ???? any time it was connected to current---also it got very, very hot & started to worry me so I disconnected. If there is ANYTHING you can help with, I'm all ears & BTW, I DID have it hooked in the correct direction! Great Universal Pump.
I put one of these in my Ford F350 Diesel to replace the Lift Pump. Easy installation.
The pump looks like it should do what I intend using it for. It is a back up to an existing electric fuel pump on my 78 Spitfire. Not sure of how long it will work, some reviews gave it a couple hours, others said it lasted, I'll see. ??
