    Fitting was easy after getting the interior door parts off,you tube was a god send for help,i can't see any problems going forward as the old door locks had been in 17 years so if this lasts 5 years i will be happy.

    Lock does the job.

    Arrived in the timescale promised. The product is not to the same quality as original. But for the price I couldn’t expect it to be. The lock had a section of the plastic that seemed to have been melted, which meant I had to use a cable tie to secure one of the cable attachments. I didn’t return the product, as I’d already removed the broken lock and needed to get the car back on the road. Once fitted, the lock operates as it should.

    Better than expected.

    This lock was about 10% of the price of an OEM lock so I was skeptical but I have to say so far so good. The lock fitted perfectly and operates perfectly too. These VAG group locks if this era are notoriously unreliable so I am very pleased. Just hope it lasts well, only time will tell.

    Looked the part and so far has proved to be sufficient.

    I decided to try it at £20 odd. If it worked it would be a saving of about £220 on a genuine VW part. So far it works. I'm hoping that it will manage for the 5 yr guarantee offer for the new lock.
