Clarity of sound at all levels.
I updated my 2004 Gold Wing to a different brand 10 yrs ago. They were better than original. I just installed the Show Chrome speakers. Impressive! The sound is exceptionally clear. Show Chrome replacement speakers in a 2001 GL 1800
The speakers arrived well packaged and in good shape and certainly appeared to be an improvement over stock, but as they say, “ the proof of the pudding is in the eating” I’m no electronics guy, and sometimes seem to have trouble using a light switch, but I was concerned about the magnet size. The stock speaker magnet was / is huge compared to the ShowChrome speakers, but the S.C. Speaker magnets appeared ,to me, to be comparable to other after market speakers, so they went into the front of my 2001 GL 1800. Before I pulled the old speakers out , I was listening to some music from my iPhone and left all the settings on the bike’s system untouched as a subjective comparison with the new speakers . After Show Chrome speaker installation I found that in order to get to the same volume from the Show Chrome as the stock speaker, I had to bias the fader control more toward the new speakers or turn the entire system volume up. I “assume” this is the result of the “smaller” magnet. The overall performance of the Show Chrome speaker over stock is good , but not a night and day difference. Perhaps with an aftermarket amplifier or other(?) system improvements the new speakers would have had a more pronounced improvement. For my use, the Show Chrome speakers are solid replacements for the stock speakers when purchased at “sale” prices.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wasn’t a perfect fit
The speaker sounds scratchy starting at middle of volume and higher it gets worse, I am des appointed and now I really don’t know what to do also the fitment on the rear wasn’t a direct fit cause the plastic on the face of speaker is so thick that I couldn’t use the original spacers and boltsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just perfect! these reminds me of my old...
Just perfect! these reminds me of my old Jensen coax speakers, but for modern production these sound awesome .(do not expect boombox sound) I'm ordering 1 more pair for the back speaker which can fit.
