About this product

Product Information

An update on the 1962 classic WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?, this modern day remake is set in 1990s Los Angeles. Real life sisters Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave play rival siblings, adding a fresh spin to the parts originally played by Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Lynn Redgrave plays Jane Hudson, a former child star, whose career was overshadowed by her sister Blanche's (Vanessa Redgrave) success. Obsessed with reliving the past, Jane has become a parody of her old self, parading around the house drenched in stage makeup and dressed like a little girl. The sisters live together in middle age, with Jane taking care of Blanche, whose career was cut short by a crippling accident. Jane resents her sister for stealing her spotlight, and finds ways to punish her sister. Unable to walk, Blanche is completely at the mercy of her mentally ill sister. When a TV network starts showing Blanche's films, Jane's jealousy reaches a breaking point.
