This is an excellent album
On the surface, this collection of songs feature just mid-tempo hard blues rock. But there is that great clanging, droning sound of HAWKWIND that makes this album very unique. It's very gritty and aggressive but also very fun heavy boogie. On Parole carries a wider musical openness than the band's future "metal" albums. One can still feel the roots in the 60s; but this album also forays into punk and even the post-genres. It contains the best of both worlds, HAWKWIND and MOTÖRHEAD.
