    Painful to wear for longer than a few minutes

    For woodworking, I wear a respirator, ear muffs and glasses, which gets to be a hassle to take on and off. I was hoping banded ear plugs would be my solution, but these particular bands are too tight, which makes them quite painful after 20 or 30 minutes. I thought it was the pointed gray plastic inserts that were causing the pain, but I removed the earplugs from the band and used them with the plastic inserts, and they work fine without the pain, so gotta be the band. Seems like a poor design to me.

    Great for small ear canal.

    If you have large ear canals, I recommend the Howard Leight HBQ 2's. Not these as the sizing for these QB1HYG seems to be for smaller ear canals because they go in so deep that they made me cough. Rather uncomfortable. But if I had smaller ear canals these would be my first choice.

    Light weight and not as cumbersome as with Earth Muffs Type.

    They seem to be well made ...will know more after I go shooting with them.

    Don't Work For Me

    When I try to remove the earplugs, the holder separates from the plugs and the plugs stay in my ears. I expected to just put them in and pull them out as needed for intermittent noise protection.
