Very good testing & diagnostic tool
The best tools I have are simple and basic without a lot of features and accessories. The Klein IR07 is one of them. The thermometer is intuitive and easy to use. Small, compact, and very portable. The IR07 uses 2 AAA batteries and is energy efficient. Has auto on/off, scan/hold, Celsius/Fahrenheit scales, and minimum/maximum reading recall. Allows contact and IR non-contact temperature reading flexibility. Well constructed and very good quality. IR reading scale is 8:1 for a little more focused thermal targeting with the laser. The backlit screen is easy to read in full sun. The IR07 has everything I need and nothing I don't. Battery cover is secured by a philips head screw. As an HVAC technician and an electrician, I've used Klein tools for over 3 decades. I have never been disappointed once with Klein tools! I saw this and thought I'd try it out. I had been using their IR5 for years, but this little guy is now the go-to thermometer! It is about 1/3 the size, and fits in my shirt pocket. It does everthing I need it for flawlessly.
