Kingii Dragon Robot
My 9-3/4 grand daughter has been expressing interest in building a "robot" with help from grandpa. The Kingii Dragon kit states that it is appropriate for "10+" which is a bit older than my grand daughter. But I thought we'd give it a try anyway. I am a retired engineer which gave me helpful experience, but I believe I could have assembled the kit when I was 10 if it had been available back then. We spent about 5 hours total on it in two sessions. There were a very few assembly steps where my grand daughter didn't quite have the necessary strength or motor skills needed, so after letting her try on her own, I helped her with those few steps. But carefully following the directions, she did everything else herself. The "dragon" worked as soon as we completed it, and she was thrilled! And couldn't wait to show it off to her mother. With appropriate adult supervision, I agree that the kit is indeed suitable for "ages 10+". Without an adult it probably would be best for a typical child of age 13+.
