    Somewhat strange. It's not a bad movie, just confusing.

    It should be noted from the off that this is not police procedural detective piece. This is a slow burn, moody and edgy picture. "The Pledge" somewhat strange. It's not a bad movie, just confusing. With Nicholson as a detective trying to find a killer. There are so many redundant scenes, and even the useful scenes are just way too long. I feel that the film just drags on and on. This film is a great disappointment.

    Great film and quite impressed

    The performance from Mr. Nicholson is amazing. This is a first for me to watch given a thumbs up from Roger Ebert. Jack is who he is as an actor and will always be impressive in my opinion.

    Great film where subtly and irony take lead over action and obvious plot points

    Underrated film that hones in on coincidence, irony, and fate as its central theme. Sometimes we're never given the knowledge that our actions helped steer the course of destiny where it rightfully belongs.
