It works well for leashes, keys and light jackets but doesn’t quite “stick out” off the wall enough to really hold a heavy coat securely. Still, it’s a cephalopod on my wall…and it makes me smile. I might try cutting and staining some 3/4” wood to fit behind it without occluding the hooks to give it enough clearance from the wall for coats. If, IF I do this I’ll post some photos. I’m still smiling…
