The Dell PowerConnect C0978 makes creating a local area network possible by connecting wired computers and peripherals to the Internet through its many ports. Stacking these switches serves as a single point of entry for all devices with only one IP address needed for all connections on the LAN. Each fully stackable 48-port Ethernet switch unit has 48 copper RJ-45 ports and 48 ports supporting the 10 BaseT, 100 BaseTX or 100BaseTX Fast Ethernet protocols. This Dell ethernet switch also has one Gigabit Ethernet Combo and one Giga Ethernet stacking port that can be configured as desired. The Dell PowerConnect C0978 for PC has a data transfer rate of 100 Mbps, and is fully securable through SSL/SSH encryption. This 48-port Ethernet switch also supports VLAN configurations. Administrators can manage the Dell PowerConnect C0978 remotely through a variety of protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, Telnet and SNMP. Integrated DHCP support enables dynamic IP address assignment to minimize IP address-sharing conflicts and connection loss. The C0978 external Dell ethernet switch has an internal power supply and requires an AC 120/230 V power source. Each stackable unit measures 1.69 x 17.28 x 13.9-inches.
