When I opened up the package the fur was stored in a cotton bag and even had some tissue paper rolled up with the fur itself to keep in good condition. I was very pleasantly surprised. The fur itself looks exactly like the photo, it is warm and soft on my neck. The quality of the fur was very soft to the touch, and no weird odors to be found. Very clean and wonderful piece. Very satisfied with the value of the item for the price I paid!
