The stock is also fitted with a comfortable rubber buttpad and sling studs matched with an included adjustable nylon sling. Topping off the Targis Hunter Max’s stock is the Air Rifle industry’s only integral scope rail. The Umarex Nucleus Rail provides a sure and steady mounting platform for the included 3-9X32 scope with an adjustable objective. Maximizing stealth is also built into the Targis Hunter Max Air Rifle.

An unexpected change was made
Originally, after I purchasing this rifle, I liked it in most ways. The only fault I was aware of was that it weighed 9.8 pounds. Then the product was revised so the weight went down to 7.6 pounds which was a large improvement. I assumed that no other changes had been made since the product was previously optimum in all areas except the weight. However, when I made a detailed comparison of all areas both before and after the update, I found something else that I had not expected to change. The trigger pull weight had INCREASED from 3.5 to 9.8 pounds! This change would result in making the gun far less accurate. As a result, I returned my rifle and purchased another brand (Gamo) which looked better overall for accuracy. I believe in the old saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it".
